Making Entrepreneurship Better

Becoming a Better Mentor

The evening is an opportunity for members of the JBN community to get together in a casual setting and have a conversation with Louis Goldish, MIT Venture Mentoring Service.

The MIT Venture Mentoring Service supports innovation and entrepreneurial activity throughout the MIT community. MIT VMS takes in about 20 new ventures per month and matches the prospective entrepreneurs with teams selected from over 150 skilled volunteer mentors who offer them practical, actionable advice on how to perfect their products and services, identify markets, build business organizations, and seek funding. The mentors are selected for their expertise in business formation, planning, management, and specific technical fields, and for their skills as advisors. Lou also will describe how such a service might be established in the Boston Jewish Community, and how members of the JBN network can help make that happen.
